Users were able to successfully complete all of the assigned tasks and overall responded positively to the prototype. In addition, from a qualitative perspective I wanted to gauge user sentiment and satisfaction with the redesign compared to the original website. ![]() The goal of this usability test was to see if users could successfully navigate the website to perform these tasks and locate specific information. Rent a piece of durable medical equipment.Users were asked to complete the following tasks. Usability tests were conducted for both the desktop and mobile versions of the website. Unfortunately Calendly would not work for this specific use case but after research and consideration we were able to implement this functionality while keeping a similar task flow by utilizing a Wordpress plugin. Initially Calendly was going to be used to accept DME payments and schedule rentals. The pharmacy manager also expressed that scheduling rentals for their DME equipment was a tedious and time consuming aspect of their business. ![]() To remove friction between users and their goals, I introduced a flow that would allow online appointment bookings. The pharmacy manager explained that having an associate take calls and schedule appointments was costly and time consuming. The pharmacy's site lacked interactive CTAs on their service pages and relied on users calling to schedule appointments. The user could be browsing services via the dropdown menu in the nav bar and easily has the option to hover over the services dropdown and choose to request their refills. Path 1 illustrates the steps users will take while interacting with the "Rx Refills" button in the nav bar (later changed to "Request Refills") Path 2 is an alternative path to the Rx refills form for users who have spent time actively exploring the different services available on the site and have come to the decision they want to request refills. It was imperative to ensure there was a streamlined way to request refills from any page. Requesting refills is currently the primary action users can take on the Post Haste Pharmacy site. These task flows map out the interactions for the 3 tasks users will be able to take. To establish how users can interact with the site on a more granular level to complete their goals, I created task flows. Upon review with the stakeholders, I was able to remove unnecessary pages containing underutilized and discontinued services. I wanted to ensure there was a clear picture of the site’s navigational hierarchy. Once features and functionality were decided, I reevaluated the website’s nav structure and site map.
